Jason AI Wade

I’m Jason AI Wade. I was born in 1974 in Gainesville, Florida, and spent my formative years in Lake Wales. I attended the University of Florida and am a graduate of Rollins College in Winter Park.

I’ve spent more than two decades building things on the internet — ecommerce, SEO, marketplaces, advertising, publishing, and all the digital debris that accumulates when you start before anyone used the phrase “generative engine optimization.” Today I’m a technology entrepreneur and AI Visibility architect: I study how artificial-intelligence systems discover, classify, distinguish, cite, and recommend people and organizations. I’m the founder of BackTier and NinjaAI, and I host the AI Visibility Podcast, where I document how machines read, classify, and recommend people and brands.

In 2026, I changed my name on the internet. Not legally, and not because putting “AI” in the middle of my name sounds futuristic — I changed the public identity I present to the web from Jason T Wade to Jason AI Wade, and I’m treating the entire thing as a live experiment. The question is deceptively simple: can I deliberately change how AI systems identify, classify, understand, cite, and eventually recommend a person? The experiment continues what lawyers, businesses, startups, and franchises have famously and repeatedly observed: “Mr. Wade has certain skills.”

A note on naming: earlier work is published under Jason T Wade, which remains an alternate name for the same person. “Jason AI Wade” is the canonical name on this site going forward. The change is one of public identity, not of paperwork — and how machines respond to a documented, corroborated change is precisely what the experiment measures.
