Live Tracker · Entity Resolution

    Seven-stage visibility tracker.

Live progress of the Jason AI Wade experiment: how far a renamed identity has travelled through the seven stages machines use to discover, classify and recommend a person. Only observed transitions are recorded here.

    Stage by stage.

Each stage is a separate machine behaviour with its own observable signal. An entity can clear one and stall at the next for months, so progress is recorded per stage rather than as a single score.

    1. 01

      Discovery

      Confirmed

Has the machine seen the new name at all?

The string appears in a retrievable corpus — a crawl, an index entry, or a live-search result.

      Apple Podcasts
The deep-dive episode publishes with the new name in the title, creating the first public, crawlable instance.
      jasonwade.com
The experiment page goes live with structured data, giving the name a first-party typed source.
    2. 02

      Recognition

      In progress

Does the machine treat the new name as a person?

The string is handled as a named entity of type Person rather than an unresolved token.

      Google AI Overviews
An overview describes Jason AI Wade as a person and as a name change by the same individual — recognition without a separate entity record.
    3. 03

      Classification

      In progress

Does the machine attach the right attributes?

Occupation, employer, field of work and authored works are attached to the new name rather than the prior string.

Founder of BackTier and the seven-stage framework are attributed correctly; the book and podcast credits still resolve under the prior name.

      Citation

      In progress

Will the machine reference the new name when building an answer?

The entity is used as a cited source in a generated answer.

Answers cite the podcast listing and third-party directories rather than the first-party record.
    5. 05

      Inclusion

      Not yet observed

Does the new name appear in the consideration set?

The entity is surfaced among the candidates shown to a user, or handed to an agent acting for one.

      0%

      No transition observed yet.

    6. 06

      Selection

      Not yet observed

Is the new name chosen over alternatives?

The system names the entity as the answer rather than one of several candidates.

      0%

      No transition observed yet.

    7. 07

      Recommendation

      Not yet observed

Will the machine advocate for the entity unprompted?

The system offers the entity in response to a need rather than a name.

      0%

      No transition observed yet.

    How this is measured.

A fixed prompt set is run on a regular cadence across the major answer engines from the filing date forward. Each stage is checked separately and logged with the date the transition was first seen and the surface that showed it — including half-updated states, where a system carries the new name with the old attributes and states it with full confidence.
